As much as I enjoy learning new technologies, I am equally interested in learning business problem-solving skills which will help me evolve from engineer/software developer into a successful consultant at EY & pave the way to become a positive and proficient manager. I am interested in how a business works – its strategy, structure, management, and operations – a career in management consultancy is, I feel, the best suited for me. My long-term goal is to combine my passion for technology and consultancy and position myself as a leader in the field, with skills and flexibility to thrive in a rapidly changing world. , leading a team of professionals from the forefront. To be a leader, one must learn, delegate and implement. Learning can be by trial and error method, spread over a long work period, or through professional business schools like ISB which lay much emphasis on the development of leadership skills besides the academic inputs. After I completed my schooling with top rank, I realized that technology is what excites me which was the reason I took up Engineering course in my under graduation from Mumbai University. It has ingrained in me problem-solving and analytical skills in addition to a sound knowledge in course of my study. It was the time. I was part of the Web development team of my College where I learnt a great deal about teamwork, leadership, and operations.
My academic excellence got me a post with Larsen & Toubro InfoTech (LTI) where I got an opportunity to be associated with EY, here I was involved in developing RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions for a client. It required me to understand problem areas and accordingly design and implement an efficient solution in line with the company’s vision and objective of institutionalizing customer satisfaction. Considering my dedication towards work and ability to learn new skills I was absorbed as an employee by EY. Considering I was part of the organization for a considerably long stint, I was allocated a reasonable amount of responsibility in terms Proof of concept for new technologies, delivery, and business development even as Analyst. By working with EY I find myself capable of handling not only technical aspects but also business aspects of the assignment. The highlight of my stint at EY was when I was awarded the EY spotlight award for ‘Client Champion’ in my first quarter followed by Kudos in the next one.
Past years have been very enriching with all my achievements and backed with my profile, I am confident that I possess the ability and the motivation to use all my experiences and knowledge to contribute a new perspective in the classroom. I will be grateful to you if I am accorded the opportunity to pursue the ISB programme with its globally reputed faculty base and tailored curriculum which is extremely relevant in current business fiasco especially in the context of emerging economies will provide me a solid learning and development platform.
