Methanol

Substances with similar characteristics to the solvent dissolve easily thus for a polar substance which is -OH group it must be dissolved in a polar solvent. As the receptors are stimulated that causes the neurons to read or detect the material and send signals to the brain for recognition.The environment has a variety of smell which is more than the smell receptors, molecules may trigger different receptors which are generated in the brain which are recorded in the brain as smells. Pathway for the smell begins at the nostrils and travel to the throat and reaches the nose.
