Please note! This essay has been submitted by a student.

Online vs traditional education have different learning system. We got different opinions from the students on the comparison. Nowadays online education is getting more popular and convenient (Gardner, 2017). On the other hand, Traditional Learning is the first method by which education system started. Traditional learning requires a physical classroom where teachers can give lectures and interact with the students face to face. However online education permits you to obtain an international degree even without going to school. In online education students can fix their flexible schedule and select their desire environment where they want to study (Heap, 2017). It saves time for students and make the courses 100 times more convenient. Erstad’s (2017) study shows the fixed schedule of students attending class every week & interacting with teachers can help keep students on task. In the survey we did some comparison between Online Education & Traditional learning.

The survey questions were about to know the perception on the comparison between online education & traditional learning. There were 12 different types of questions (multiple, close & Likert scale). We asked randomly 30 students in our campus and got their perception individually. (The full question is attached in Appendix A)

In this report we are going to review 3 results of the survey. It includes 2 comparison & 1 criteria question. At the start of the survey we asked about the importance of discipline. Figure 1 illustrates the perception of student’s individual about discipline in traditional learning.

Figure 1, students’ opinion about the importance of discipline in traditional learning.

This result explains that 55% students agreed with the importance and 24% agreed strongly. In addition, 17% agreed very slightly. On the other hand, 24% students disagreed and 17% did disagree strongly.

The second topic was about the procedure of study & we got various opinions from individuals from their comfort zone. Figure 2 demonstrates the individuals’ opinions.

The result demonstrates that 15 students like to study practical instead of studying theoretical like 10 students. 2 students like to study in field trips & reading as well. Moreover 3 students like both ways to study.

The 3rd topic was about the amenity of doing homework. Figure 3 describes the amenity of doing homework.

This chart illustrates 70% students feel comfortable doing their homework at home, contrarily 20% students feel comfortable doing their homework at library & 10% feel better doing in class.

To sum up all, according to the survey report students are preferring online education rather than traditional learning. In Traditional learning, students can get motivated to achieve higher marks when they have regular interaction with their instructors (De, 2018). As my opinion, online learning might be very appropriate for the students who want to work at the time of studying.
