To gain success in this English course, I have set several goals that include developing more confidence while speaking in front of others, to gain the ability to synthesize ideas, and to become a creative thinker. I do not solely wish to achieve these goals to be successful in this course, however, to apply them in my desired future career as a lawyer. In addition, to maintain that success I must make several changes in my lifestyle that include developing strong time management skills, to learn to take care of myself and to find my passions and pursue them.
Being a dancer requires self-confidence to be successful in effectively performing; it enables me to take risks and find my inner self. To achieve my goal to develop more confidence while speaking in front of others, I plan to apply my strength of confidence when dancing in front of others to empower me to step out of my comfort zone and be passionate about what I am speaking about.
As an athlete, I have contributed to the success of my team by using my ability to combine my teammates' ideas for us to execute a successful play. I can apply my ability to synthesize the ideas of my teammates and synthesize ideas throughout this English course, whether that be in discussions or writing.
During elementary school, I was on the school dance team. Today I still contribute to the success of the team through creative thinking by creating new dance routines to teach the team. Additionally, as a creative thinker, I solve problems by innovating new movements and experimenting with solutions to improve their performance. I can apply my creative thinking in dance to achieve my goal of becoming a creative thinker in this English course by “thinking outside the box” by developing and communicating new ideas and meeting challenges.
In addition, to maintain success this semester I must make several changes in my lifestyle that include developing strong time management skills by creating systems of organization that work for my daily schedule. Additionally, I must learn to take care of myself as at times when being a committed student, I forget to commit to my needs of getting enough sleep, eating well and taking good mental care of myself. Furthermore, I need to find my passions and pursue them to become more motivated to succeed throughout the semester.
In conclusion, to gain success in this course English course, I must use my strengths to achieve my goals that include using my self-confidence in dancing in front of others to develop more confidence while speaking in front of others. Additionally, to use my strength of combining my teammates' ideas to gain the ability to synthesize ideas in this English course. Furthermore, to use my creative thinking skills in choreographing a dance to become a creative thinker in this English course. In addition, to maintain that success I must make several changes in my lifestyle that include developing strong time management skills, to learn to take care of myself and to find my passions and pursue them.
