There have been experiments where race, color and gender showed evidence of the existence of aversive racism in the behavior of whites people toward Blacks and Latinos with emphasis in unintentional discrimination in selection of job interviews and hiring. There are several forms of aversive discrimination that do exist in our present life for example sexism, homophobia, and disablism. Aversive Racism exists in Mexico too. Racism adopts different modern day expressions, which are reflected in simulated discriminatory practices towards ethnic minorities, gender difference or social status. Self Application: I have not experience racism as a child, but I strongly believe that if we promote different ways to educate people and avoid ignoring signs of racism in or young children we will lead families to a healthier life style. Effective co parenting and educational material plays a tremendous roll to obtain better results. The future of our kids it is pretty much in our hands. Parents and teachers takes a very important role in the lives of our children and we are the major responsible of leading them in to a healthier generation.
