Now to assess these trait if the informant is offender himself then psychologist can apply test like BFI(Big Five Inventory) and MMPI to assess the personality (MMPI is very brief and lengthy so mostly psychologist not used this because of time limit set by the court) but if the informants are family, friends etc then psychologist have to conduct structured interviews and subjectively assess the personality or pre-morbid personality.
