How will Technology affect human life in the futureIt is a worldwide accepted fact that the human race is the most advanced race on the face of this planet. There has been a remarkable change in technology that dates back to the very late 19th century in the 90s to now in the 21st century. we have seen everything starting from the first telephone to the very first AI robot. Seeing how there is always an upward trend in technology there is no surprise that the human race is heading towards a new era of technological advancements. The value of Technology is to make work easier to manage and to accomplish done with less effort and greater flexibility.
The human race is at the prime or as some say is at its peak in terms of innovation. The upward trend in technology has not always been so up and until the past few years because of how fierce the competition in the market, has been due to the mainstream availability of these next generation products to buyers and consumers. While we are getting used to the nearest technology in the market another version replacing it emerges that the time and the speed of improving doesn’t seem to slow down. In fact, it is more likely that the speed of new technology creations augments instead of slowing down, and this is because with the help of more and more Technology it becomes easier to create more. It is more or less like having better tools to create better results. A decade ago it would have been crazy to even think of how dependent we would be on technology but now it seems a normal part of reality. The development of fully touch screen smartphones is evidence of how far we have come. I still remember how people were flabbergasted at the invention of the very first touchscreen mobile phone and now we just seem to not have enough of it.
All these developments has not only fulfill your expectations but has left us hungry for more. Artificial Intelligence a.k.a AI: AI is a very sophisticated software, A device which has the capability of reprogramming itself for better achieving the results for which it was created for. why it is said that it is capable to learn because true experimentation it is capable to improve with them. AI is of such importance because it is said to have the capabilities to reshape the world where we live. the important is of such magnitude that it has also been called as the fourth industrial revolution because of how much intelligence these machines with AI have shown in the productive sector and every aspect of human life. Smart devices will continue to evolve to work better together. These machines will share data automatically limiting the need for human involvement. Of course, it’s not just smartphones, watches, TVs or tablets anymore. However, I don’t think that there will be any short term impact that Technology will have at all but I do think that Technology at large will change the game considerably over the next 20 years. For one, imagining what will come next and become the norm after a laptop and smartphone will change the way we work just as the computer change a typewriter dependent world 20-30 years ago. The very first touchscreen smartphone: The IBM SimonThe IBM simon(pictured right) is the very first touchscreen PDA/smartphone that was ever created for commercial purpose. It was made and sold by the International Business Machines Co. (IBM) in the year 1994. This was the pioneer in the touchscreen smartphone industry and paved the way for future next generation smartphones which have made our lives ever so easier as everything we need is right at the touch of our fingertips.
The latest touchscreen smartphone: iPhone XS Max From the IBM Simon moving on we have a look at the newest face of the smartphone industry the iPhone XS Max(pictured right). It has all the things that a techie would have dreams about. It is one of the many devices in this current technological revolution which shows how far we have come as a human race with our technology and commitment for an ever increasing scope for future developments.Humanoid Robots A humanoid robot is a robot built with the shape that very closely resembles one of a human body. The first humanoid robot that ever so closely resembled a human body was the ASIMO (pictured right). It was manufactured by Honda in the year 2011. It is said to be one of the very first lifelike robots to have a significant impact in concurrent technological developments in the robotics department. Asimo has the ability to recognize moving objects, postures, gestures, its surrounding environment, sounds and faces. However the latest AI robot that got worldwide recognition is the Sophia Robot(bottom right) made by Hanson Robotics in Hong Kong. It was the very first robot of it’s kind that could make gestures and understand emotions of other human beings that were communicating to it. It had artificial intelligence which meant that it had a special set of algorithms set in its ‘brain’ that was connected to sensors and cameras all over its body which helped it communicate, make decisions and make all kinds of movements. It was one of the very first awestrucking robots in this generation. There was so much hype around it because of its features and the engineering behind it. This did not only lead to its worldwide recognition but also it lead to Sofia becoming the very first robot to earn a citizenship from a country.
The Future All these developments in the technology sector are not only one of a kind but also leave one in complete awe. Who knows what the future holds. Maybe one day we will get the flying cars or we will witness space colonization. These past few revolutions have paved a way for future generations. The internet will become ‘like electricity’ – less visible, yet more deeply embedded in people’s lives for good. Social and business encounters will be shaped by virtual reality and telepresence. Interfaces with data and objects will change becoming much more easier. Speech/gesture will become much easier. Rich, immersive experiences will proliferate. Artificial intelligence, augmented reality, wearable devices and big-databases will make people more aware of their world and their own behaviour which will specially aid in healthcare.
The environment and structures themselves will become intelligent and expand our knowledge about them plus enable their own maintenance and repairs. However with the bright future ahead comes great risks. Privacy will be more at risk and something perhaps only the privileged will enjoy. Nature of work will change in an unprecedented way as robots and artificial intelligence assume greater roles in job functions. Dangerous divide between has and have-nots may result in resentments and possible violence. Uses and abuses will ‘evolve and scale’. Human check is not changing. those pursuing crime, laziness, bullying, stalking, stupidity and dirty tricks have new capacity to make life miserable for others. Heroines and their organisation main not respond quickly enough to challenges presented by complex networks. There is no certainty in what the future might hold. Brightness has been going hand in hand with darkness and will continue to do so. From the IBM Simon to Sophia the humanoid robot, this world around us shows signs of constant evolution that will only lead to future unimaginable prospects. All we can do is sit back and enjoy.
