Macbeth as a powerful, tragic hero that is easily led.
In the novel, Macbeth, we observe the development of Macbeth as a character. In the beginning he is seen as a powerful and noble leader who develops into a man filled with fear, guilt and doubt. He becomes easily influenced by the women who play an important role in his life. This influence leads the rising of Macbeth’s biggest flaw; ambition. Macbeth turns into a tragic hero after all the decisions he was influenced and persuaded.
We first see Macbeth’s character analysis showed when he first meets the three weird sisters. The three weird sisters offer him favourable prophecies that awaken the ambition within him. They can be considered the force that first ignites the desire to accomplish more than he has achieved now. ‘If you shall cleave to my consent, when ‘tis it shall make honour for you’. This shows that Macbeth could not stop thinking about what the witches had said about his future; this is the spark that triggered Macbeth to commit the first sickening deed. The three weird surely impact Macbeth’s thoughts and they are the first females that we see that push him to the killing of Duncan.
Later on, when we see that Macbeth is hesitant about carrying out action of killing king Duncan,LadyMacbeth, persuades Macbeth to do it by doubting his manhood. She questions his nobility and masculinity. ‘Which thou esteem’st the ornament of life, and live a coward in thine own esteam’. She then manipulates him by questioning his love for her. ‘Such I account thy love’. Here we can observe that lady Macbeth influences, Macbeth to do things that he doesn’t necessarily believe are right. This leads us to conclude that lady Macbeth can also be seen as a trigger who helped Macbeth yearn for more.
Another situation, in which we can note that Macbeth's change has to due with the influence of woman, is when ambition begins to grow and he wants to know more about the prophecies that the witches have to say. He is dependent on the prophecies and almost begs them to see what awaits him in the near future. ‘ i conjure you, by that which you profess (Howe'er you come to know it) answer me-)'. After he eventually finds out the prophecies , he acts upon them and again ensure that nothing the witches have said can be changed. this proves that what the witches have to say definitely has and impact on Macbeth's next move.
Macbeth is a tragic hero and what corrupts him to becoming on is the females that have an impact on his life. They manage to manipulate the outcome of Macbeth's actions and get him to commit crimes that lead him to death
