As an upcoming freshman at the California State University of Stanislaus, I am honored to have an opportunity to apply for the RAMCO Enterprises, L.P Scholarship. I believe I should be considered as a recipient of the RAMCO Scholarship because of the hard work I have put towards my education achievements. I will commit myself to successfully take full advantage of the chance that the scholarship will provide for me. Additionally, I am the type of student to persistently work hard academically in any way possible as well as continuously finding ways to improve myself as an individual.
The value of my education is something that I have comprehended since an exceptionally youthful age. Both of my parents have had a huge impact in my dedication towards my education choice which is to extend my schooling. It is because of their love and sacrifice since I was born that I have possessed the capacity to give the time and dedication to my academic achievements despite the future cost of my academics. As you most likely are aware, a college education is very costly, however it is an investment that is surely worth it. I was awarded a grant from Stanislaus University as a first year student in this university. Other than this help my family and I are paying out of pocket for my education. Once I am settled in the University I will hold down a part-time job to fund for my education. Receiving this scholarship will empower me to keep on making progress toward my Bachelor’s degree in Business.
In addition to focusing on my studies, I will also be involved in a number of campus clubs/activities this upcoming fall. I have taken the liberty to sign up to the Catholic Student Association, Healthy Community, and Student Leadership Organization. I have also been active in my school and community outside of the classroom, volunteering as a tutor to lower class mates, Spanish translator, soccer coach, helped at Dorothy’s Organization throughout school and during school breaks. In my senior year of high school I managed to graduate with a 3.8 grade point average. I know my grades as a freshman were not the best, but with my parents support and advice I managed to work myself up to obtaining better grades.
Neither my mother nor father had the chance to pursue an education past high school because of personal responsibilities they had as teens. My parents have made several sacrifices for my education that will make a change to the new journey I will go through this fall. As of now I am the first generation of my family to attend college. I am grateful to have this opportunity, having the support from outside organizations and my family.
I greatly appreciate the opportunity RAMCO Enterprises, L.P Scholarship has to offer. It is because of the help this establishment has to offer to students like me that has motivated me to achieve my goals. I will stay determined and will keep working like I have been until the point where I achieve my career goals. I am hopeful to become one of your scholarship recipients, so I can proceed on my path way to majoring in Business.
