When Oprah turned nine, she was first sexually abused while babysitting by her nineteen-year-old cousin. Throughout her teenage years, she was constantly assaulted by family friends and also, her uncle. Oprah has two charities of her own, The Oprah Winfrey Foundation and The Oprah Winfrey Operating Foundation, both founded by Oprah herself. These two charities do not accept donations and are instead reliant on donations from Oprah, this goes to show just how generous Oprah is towards others that need help. Lastly, Oprah has also stated in her will to give one billion dollars to charities, this makes her one of the biggest philanthropist of the twenty first century.
