About Pride And Prejudice Book

Pride and Prejudice is Jane Austen’s best-known book; it was also the first one to be written. Although First Impressions was finished in 1797 and rejected for publication, no copy of the original exists. Pride and Prejudice was reworked in about 1812 and released in 1813.

Austen’s mature writing style suggests that the final version was a complete original rewrite. The narrative is definitely set in the early nineteenth century, not the late eighteenth.

When it was first published, reviewers and readers highly welcomed Pride and Prejudice. The original edition of this masterpiece was a huge success, and copies have never been reissued.

Book Summary

Mr. Bingley, his sisters, and their friend Darcy move into the most beautiful Netherfield Park mansion in the area at the start of the book. Bingley is a young, well-off, and unmarried man. As the Bennet family has five unmarried daughters, it seems to be a suitable option for them to get married and protect their family’s financial future.

As soon as Jane Bennet gets to the dinner table, she feels ill. For the sake of her sister’s well-being, Elizabeth has returned to Netherfield. Both Jane and Mr. Bingley and Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy first met in this manner and developed a romantic interest in one another. Mr. Bingley and his sisters will subsequently visit Bennet’s house to invite them to a party.

Bennet’s cousin and sole male heir to the family land Mr. Collins (Mr. Collins’ cousin), comes to see the family simultaneously. He had sent a letter to the Bennet family to express his wish to marry one of their daughters before arriving.

After expecting everyone to want to marry him so they could keep the family house, it’s surprising that Elizabeth says no to his marriage proposal at the ball. William Collins then approaches Charlotte Lucas and asks her to marry him, anxious to find a bride. Charlotte accepts the marriage only because of social pressure.

There is a fear among the Bingley sisters that their brother’s marriage to Jane would dishonor the entire family. They do all to keep the pair apart, and as a result, he is forced to go to London. Eventually, Jane and Elizabeth Bennet make their way to London.

Elizabeth runs into Darcy again while visiting Charlotte, a buddy from college. They re-engage in heated debates. After admitting his feelings for Elizabeth and making a romantic proposal, Darcy does it in such a pretentious way that she rejects the offer.

However, his actions have altered her perception of him, and the animosity she once had against him has become somewhat more complicated and profound. When Elizabeth receives the letter the following day, Darcy explains to her that Mr. Wickham’s allegations about him are falsehoods. He apologizes for interfering in Jane Bingley’s relationship with Mr. Bingley.

Elizabeth’s feelings for Darcy shift, but she doesn’t make contact with him to let him know. Lizzy and Darcy meet again at the Pemberley mansion owned by Darcy’s aunt and uncle, which Lizzy visits with her parents.

Darcy has a lot of good things said about him, and he acts quite gentlemanly with other people himself. After learning that Lydia, Darcy’s younger sister, has been taken away by officer Wickham, Darcy runs into Elizabeth, who is in tears.

But fortunately for everyone involved, particularly the young guy they had captivated, Uncle Gardiner tracked down the couple promptly in London. That Darcy had paid all of Wickham’s debts before agreeing to Wickham’s marriage to Lydia was a secret only Elizabeth would learn years later.

Mr. Bingley, the sisters, and Mr. Darcy return to Netherfield Park at the end of the story. They relocate into Pemberley House after Elizabeth accepts Darcy’s second proposal. When Mr. Bingley weds Jane, their marriage is long and blissful.

Essay Structure On Pride And Prejudice

When writing pride and prejudice essays, there are three sections: an introduction, the main body, and a  conclusion. Including the correct material for each section and selecting how to order the information in the body are two of the most important aspects of essay structure.

Introduction

The beginning is one of the most crucial components of the pride and prejudice essay.  For novels, it’s common knowledge that editors can tell a lot about your writing style by reading the first few pages or lines for novels. Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, published in 1813, is one of the most well-known novels in the English language.

Regency-era England is shown as a place where knowledge is valued above all else, as well as marriage, money, and social standing. With its emphasis on humor as the major aesthetic tool for telling the story, this book was a huge hit with readers.

Body

This is your text’s bread and butter. You’ve got a wonderful subject, an outline, and an excellent opening to your paper. However, the work has only begun and has not yet been completed.

Body paragraphs are where you lay out all of your important ideas for a paragraph. It is essential that these points be properly defined, related to the subject, presented in an acceptable manner, and punctuated correctly with the right language, spelling, and punctuation.

Conclusion

A paper isn’t complete until it has a conclusion. The body of the work may be amazing, but unless the conclusion is written, it won’t be a complete piece of writing.

Jane Austen wrote a love tale that became famous due to the author’s wit and narrative ability. Strong, ambitious, clever, and self-reliant characters developed by her captivated readers all over the globe.

As a bonus, the story includes a lot of historical material depicting English people’s daily lives in the 19th century. Consequently, it is a must-read for everyone who wishes to learn about Great Britain’s history while having a wonderful time.

Read The Book Thoroughly

You need to get started researching a variety of sources in order to get ideas for the subjects you want to cover in your book. Stay focused on the main points in the text. Consider the growth of the characters and the author’s style of writing.

Find A Compelling Topic

Draw attention to key portions in the book and jot down comments about them. Writing a paper will be easier if a writer keeps track of the parts of the tale that piqued his or her interest. Writing about an author’s message should always be the starting point for the topic selection process.

 Create The Outline

A writer will find it easier to arrange his or her ideas and thoughts with the assistance of an outline. It will help a writer remember the arrangement of the thesis and the supporting elements he/she would want each subject phrase to contain.

Write The Thesis Statement

Analysis requires a solid thesis that expresses a writer’s viewpoint but also allows for dispute. To be effective, a thesis statement should convey the author’s point of view and allow the audience to draw their own conclusions.

Include A Lesson Or Moral
