The convention plans to attract a large number of industrial players, as well as professionals who are interested in Alberta’s economic recovery, and who are working for a long-term diversification of the province’s economy. Speakers at the convention will cover topics such as what is being done about the current problems in Alberta’s economy, and will offer insightful talks that are sure to inspire all those who attend about the future growth of the province.
One of the main goals behind the convention is to connect Alberta’s leaders and visionaries with professionals who are looking to make a difference in their province. As a businesswomen, lawyer and former Associate Member of Electricity and Renewable Energy in Alberta, Donna Kennedy-Glans will make a speech focusing on the transition of energy within the province. She has spent 30 years working in the energy sector and is sure to offer some in-depth insight into the use of energy in Alberta, as well as how the transitions will be made toward greener alternatives.
Heather Douglas is the President of Strategic Public Affairs Ltd, as well as the President and CEO of Platinum Roundtable. Nominated as Business Women of the Year in 2008, Douglas will be leading a panel and Q & A to help members explore global trends that impact their companies and the way that they operate. She has won numerous awards for her writings on public affairs and international government relations.
Perry Kinkaide is an investor, advisor, director of many public, and private organizations. He will be the one given the closing speech at the convention which will be focused on how industries and professionals can grow together within the province and contribute to bettering the province’s economic development.
