The Beginning of Jazz Music

Life is like Jazz music, it's best when you improvise. Jazz music is not very common in some places, but in the 1920's it was the most popular form of music. The way Jazz music started is really interesting.There are a lot of famous Jazz musicians. Jazz is a really cool type of music. Jazz was born in New Orleans, Louisiana about 100 years ago. Its roots can be found in musical traditions of both Africa and Europe.

Jazz is a union of African and European music. The African part makes its rhythm or feel.Buddy Bolden started Jazz in 1917. Nick LaRocca and his original Dixieland Jazz band recorded the first Jazz record, "Livery Stable Blues." The first official Jazz song was made for the Victor Label on February 26,1912.

Jazz was really popular in the 1920's. African American Jazz culture was a huge influence on popular culture in the 1920's. Jazz music influenced all aspects of society, however in some areas Jazz was outlawed and considered devil's music.

The Jazz age was a period in the 1920's, ending with the Great Depression. Jazz music and and dance styles became popular, mainly through the United States, especially New Orleans.

Popularity of Jazz music began to spread because of recordings and radio broadcastings. This made Jazz not be heard in just nightclubs but around the United states. Jazz became more popular because of Jazz musicians like Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Wes Montgomery, and Sarah Vaughan.

Louis Armstrong is a well known Jazz musician that played the trumpet. He was born in 1901 and died in 1971. Some say he was one of the most famous Jazz musicians. Billie Holiday was a female singer and songwriter. She was born in 1915 and died in 1959. She was one of the first female Jazz musicians. Wes Montgomery helped make Jazz guitar popular. Sarah Vaughan was another popular female Jazz musician and pianist.

In conclusion Jazz was a very popular type of music back then. Jazz has a very interesting background. Jazz was like the best music back then. Jazz is an amazing type of music and the people were all amazing musicians. Jazz had some very popular people too. Jazz was really amazing and cool with all the dancers and stuff like that.
