The success of Dante made the three of his friends plot a downfall of his career by making sure that they have interfered with everything that could possibly make him famous in the future. Due to that, Dante's close friends went ahead and wrote a letter accusing him of treason. They made their claim from the message that Dante was carrying in the ship from Napoleon to a group of Bonapartist sympathizers in Paris. Due to the fact that Dante had no political leanings, he was in a position to be convinced and be jailed for treason by his enemies without knowledge. On the wedding day, there came up issues concerning the relationship between Dante, his wife, and some of his close friends who had an affair with Dante's lover. Due to that, Dante was convinced and arrested on his wedding day for his alleged crimes of treason.

The fact that judgment should be served to all, this seems to be not the case about Dante, even though the deputy public prosecutor called, Villefort was aware of the plat to finish Dante completely by some people. He tried his level best, but it happened that Dante had already exposed his freedom by revealing the name of the man he was supposed to deliver the Napoleon letter to. It made the case so complicated to the extent that there was no way tom fight for the arrest of the Dante because there were facts on the table. According to the issue the, man Noirtier was believed to be Villefort's father, and anybody who was a connection to such kind of character was supposed to be jailed for life. The fact that Noirtier id Villefort's father, whom Dante was trying to be loyal and honest to, Villefort had no authority over that issue rather than sending Dante to prison. Nevertheless, Dante was sent to one of the infamous Chateau d'If, which was believed to host the most dangerous political prisoners.

It was believed that, while Dante was in prison, he was lucky enough to meet with Abbe Faria, an Italian priest and intellectuals was considered to be jailed for political reasons. Dante was thought to have no knowledge about history; hence he was lucky enough to get some knowledge about sciences, philosophy, and languages as well. The knowledge gained helped him to be well educated and understand what was happening in the intellectual arena. Faria played a vital role in the escape of Dante from the maximum prison. He organized for him how to escape from the prison and deliver himself from such treatment. The exit of Dante was plotted and come to pass when Faria finally died. Dante planned to hide in the burial garment of Faria, thinking that they would be buried together and later on, maneuver his own ways and get out of the tomb. Unfortunately, Dante was thrown to the sea and was in a position to make his own way by swimming to freedom. Dante made his way to Monte Cristo, where he met with the Faria; he considered his fortune a gift from God who tried to intervene and help him survive. Due to the excellent character of the Dante was started searching for those who wanted to help him get justice during his worst moments

During that moment, Dante realized his beloved wife betrayed him and got married to another man. He planned to save the community by revenging to those who plotted for his downfall. Through the knowledge he gained in prison, he was in a position to expose each and every character, whichever involved in bad decisions in the community. Immediately after Dante introduced to the partisan society, nobody could remember him as Edmond Dante's, even though some people like Mercedes did. This gave him a chance to expose the lives of the people who tried to fix and finish him completely. People like Villefort, Danglars, and Mondego suffered a big blow from their mistakes. In connection to that, when a wise man wants to defeat his enemies, there are some factors that he ought to consider. In that case, Dante was in a position to apply the knowledge he got from prison. He plotted revenge against his enemies by exposing them and how they treat people to society.

According to the story of The Count of Monte Cristo, each and every character show different characteristic. There are those who are good and ready to help people. There are also those who show the aspects of mediocre and bad leadership in society. For instance, Dante is seen as a very hardworking young man who is always determined to work. He is also portrayed as a very loving man. The fact that he was planned to marry the love of his heart madam Mercedes makes him a gentle and committed to his family. In every situation, there must be a good and bad side of every prominent person. According to the issue of Dante, immediately after getting out of jail, he had already collected enough pieces of evidence. They were used later to revenge on his enemies. He used his position to make sure each and everyone who betrayed him are accountable for their sins. For instance, immediately after Dante got out of exile, he played upon his enemies' greed by opening various false credit accounts with them, which later cost them a lot of money. Dante also influences the wife to Danglar's dishonest and unfaithful acts that cost the family much. It even leads to the scattering of the family, whereby his daughter Eugenie escaped away with her female companion (Dumas & Alexandre, 84). Through that, Dante also exposed Danglars issues to his servants, which made him spend a lot of money trying to fight back hence went being bankrupt.

Mondego is another character who is portrayed as a bad leader in society. Mondego, together with his friends, are accused of planning for the downfall of Dante. They are the ones who plotted the arrest and jail of Dante. They later organized and took Mercedes and who was supposed to be Dante's wife. This indicates very well that Mondego is an enemy of progress in society. Mondego is also accused of betraying his former patron, the Greek vizier Ali Pacha. Nevertheless, he also went ahead and sold Ali Pacha's wife and daughter into slavery. Mondego is accused of treating his masters in a wrong manner in which no one was expecting such treatment from him. Instead of taking care of his boss's property, Mondego treated them as if they never helped him once. Mondego is also accused of misusing the property of the state. Instead of helping people, he used the property for personal benefits hence tarnishing his name and become seem to be a very selfish character.

On the other side, Mercedes is portrayed as a woman who does not have a firm stand. The fact that she failed to stand up with his lover Dantes during the hard times, she was unable to be considered as a friend. This can be regarded as a betrayal of the highest order from the two people in love. Again after she failed to help his lover from being taken to exile, she went ahead and befriended Dantes's enemies (Marsans-Sakly & Silvia, 738-757). Actually, the case should be the opposite of what happened, even if Mercedes had no power to stop his boyfriend from being taken to exile, she could not have married them.

Abbe Faria is an Italian priest and intellectual who was jailed for his political view regarding the state. He is portrayed as a much-focused man who is ready to die, fighting the right of the people. He opts for the best of the people and the community at large. His passion is fighting for the freedom of the people made him crush with authority. Later on, he was jailed for fighting for the rights of the community. He is also faithful and a man of his word. Due to his political stand, Abbe Faria was jailed, but he tried to free his people through teaching Dante the political issues affecting their nation (Luo & Xiaochun, 103-109). Later on, the community was released from the hand of the wrong people through Dante even though Abbe Faria had already passed on.

In connection with those character traits examined by some of those people in that community, there is some theme that has been used in this contest. The idea of betray is seemed to be the one that led to revenge, which was done by Dante. It all started after Dante seem to be doing well in his life. After getting a good job, his close friends and who knew him in and out plotted a plan to finish and make sure he does not survive at all (Wen & Zou, 50). They fixed him by plotting his arrest, which led to losing his job and as well as separating him from society and his family. On the other side, Dantes's friends also betrayed him by taking advantage of his lonely lover Mercedes after Dante was jailed. There was also another form of betrayal when the state turned against Abbe Faria. It believed that, later on, after Dante came out of the jail, he went ahead and revenged against those who plotted for his downfall.

In conclusion, the story of Edmond Dante's, which comes during the Post Napoleonic era, exposes the rotten states of many nations worldwide. In most of the developed countries, the prominent people are used by the political people to fight against the young and visionary people, who are likely to deliberate the oppressed people from the poor governing. For instance, the issue of Abbe Faria was jailed due to his firm stand of fighting against the poor governing in the society. The remedy to all those poor governing is to educate the youth who are visionary and ready to help in reviving the corrupt community. Abbe Faria played his part while in exile by educating Dante on issues affecting the society, which were later on put into practice.
