There is no doubt that the topic 'Passion' is one of the most confusing topics that many generations struggle to understand and discover. Moreover, the call to pursue, fulfill and find Passion has increased throughout the years. So what is Passion? How do you live it? How do you find it?.
Passion in the Oxford dictionary is defined as a strong and barely controllable emotion.' Oprah Winfrey described it as: 'Passion is energy. Feel the power that stems from focusing on what excites you.'
To me, Passion is true happiness; it is a feeling of emotion towards something or someone. Passion can be towards a sport, job, food, subject, or even an art piece. And the more your Passionate about yourself, your business, your life, or anything you do, the more positive energy you attract.
You may be wondering: What is the purpose of Passion? And how does it impact my life?
The answer is 'Passion' has a massive impact on every aspect of your life, no matter how big or how small it is. 'Passion' is simply enthusiasm and excitement for life. But Passion only comes when you are honest with yourself, and you do what your mind inspires you to do without effort. Something that I am incredibly passionate about is dentistry. To me, dentistry is more than just a job; it's something that makes me feel happy and useful because I get to put a smile on people's faces. A smile that can change their life, can make them more confident, enthusiastic, and ready to overcome anything that comes their way with a beautiful bright smile.
As a child, I always paid attention to people's smiles. I was always interested in how people take care of their teeth, make them look so white, and how it would make their facial appearance stand out.
I really enjoy the feeling of trust that is generated when working carefully with Passion. So when I go into this field, I have to pay attention to every complex detail of the teeth that will impact my patients. And since then, I have had an unquenchable thirst for learning every detail of the human jaw and teeth.
This was one of the very first steps that got me interested in going into this field of study. In the future, I plan on becoming an orthodontist for young children and teenagers. Although some people think it is gross, I think dentistry is a wonderful profession as it's not only about teeth. It's about emotions, trying your best to make a difference in others' lives, and most importantly it's about people's happiness.
Now, how can this course enable me to develop this passion further?
English has impacted my way of life since I moved to Canada two years ago. It's been a struggle to express myself through a language that isn't my mother tongue, but somehow a smile can speak all different languages. Therefore, through reading various books, critical thinking, and presentations, I can expand my knowledge of English. Not only will those skills help me with my education, but I will also be able to analyze medical cases and communicate with my patients more effectively. Being able to understand their needs and fulfill their smiles.
Living life by doing something that you are passionate about, such as a job, hobby, or study is one of the most magnificent and beautiful things that can happen to an individual. Your 'Passion' for this matter will motivate you to get up every morning full of energy, excitement, and happiness.
Every day is an anticipation for the future. For you, 'work' is not working but rather fun, 'study' is not studying but rather exciting, and 'job' is not a job anymore but a 'passion.'
