Definition of Alzheimer’s
Dementia often occurs at the age of 65, and it is an overall term that describes a group of symptoms associated with impaired memory and thinking skills that are caused by nerve cells damage. Alzheimer’s is known as the most common types of diseases related to dementia. Memory loss is the most common symptoms of dementia that tends to worsen over time.

What is juvenile dementia?
Dementia is most common in the older age especially over the age of 65, but with no further reason, it can occur in their 30’s to 50’s that is what we called early-onset dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is defined as the most common type of dementia that involves memory lapses and behavioral changes that mostly affect elder people at the age of 65 and above yet it is not impossible that it may occur in the early age that is why the early onset of Alzheimer’s is also referred to as a juvenile dementia.

Alzheimer’s is a progressive neurological disorder in the brain that is associated with an impaired cognitive functioning. According to some studies, Alzheimer’s developed when plaques containing beta-amyloid occur in the brain that resulted in the death of nerve cells in the brain.
Symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease
To diagnose Alzheimer’s a person possible to develop a disease must have at least two problems in the cognitive and behavioral function such as;
Memory and thinking ability. A person may experience memory loss, inability to concentrate and impaired in judgment and problem solving.
Communication and language. People with Alzheimer’s may often have repetitive question and conversation over again.
Visual perception. A person with Alzheimer’s may have the inability to recognize faces or places. They may also have difficulties to use simple things.
Psychological stability. May often notice behavioral changes such as irritability and aggressiveness.
What causes Alzheimer’s disease
The exact causes of the AD are not yet fully apparent, but according to some scientist that people with an AD are caused by a damaged and death of the brain cells. Another study showed when the doctor examines the brain tissue of a person with Alzheimer’s they found two unusual structures in the brain which is the known trademark of the disease.
Plaque-The collection of a protein called beta-amyloid may cause the brain cells to die and lost its connection with some healthy cells and resulted in brain cells die.
Tangles. These abnormalities occur when the protein chemicals called Tau is twisting inside the brain cells that affects the transporting system of each nerve cells.
What causes juvenile dementia?
The causes of early-onset Alzheimer’s may still be a question to everyone including doctors. However, some experts suspected that it is yet caused by the abnormal structures of the brain called plaques and tangles. Early-onset may have a common distinction with Alzheimer’s disease in older people such as brain death, and the disease is also progressive.
Other factors may be at high risk of developing early-onset Alzheimer’s, and that is because of genes. A juvenile may also inherit the genes that can contribute to developing Alzheimer’s and may show symptoms at the age of 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. According to some scientist, since genetics is the possible cause of Early-onset Alzheimers, it is categorized into two known as
Risk genes wherein researches found several genes that increase the chance of developing AD the rare genes are APOE-e4, APOE-e2, and APOE-e3 that generally inherit these genes from parents.
Deterministic genes. This gene is the possible cause of familial early-onset forms wherein symptoms may be noticeable at an early age.
These genes are known to play an essential role in affecting the production of a protein called beta-amyloid and tau that resulted in nerve cells damage. Alzheimer’s disease is affecting millions of people worldwide, knowing the causes may help in the prevention and early progression of the disease.
